A well-known and popular Fukien Congou black tea, refreshing pick-me-up, not as full bodied as the Indian English Breakfast Blend.
Best without milk.
Preparation: Use approximately 1 heaped teaspoon per cup. Pour over freshly boiled water and cover. Leave to stand for 3-5 minutes. Dispose of the used tea leaves.
Use with a tea strainer or tea pot to avoid the mess.

We’ve been enjoying this for over 25 years. Light, flavoursome and refreshing, ideal for the first cup of the day.

I didn’t notice this was Chinese breakfast tea when I ordered it, my fault, I usually order Indian breakfast tea. Whilst we are currently committed to drinking it in order to thoroughly try it out, sadly it’s not really to my taste at all. It’s far too pale and smokey. I usually take milk with my tea but this can only be drunk without, otherwise it’s really unpalatable, in my opinion. I’ll see how long I can last before spending another £19 on a tea I can enjoy.

Use this tea regularly, lovely taste. Couldn’t go back to tea bags now. Also use other loose leaf tea from Pumfreys as well.

The best English Breakfast tea I have ever tasted. This is based on the original English Breakfast tea and makes use of tea grown in China rather than the Indian sub-continent. I put four teaspoons per person in a pot and leave for 6 or 7 minutes. The price for 250g is very reasonable.

Refreshing lighter alternative to normal breakfast tea at a very attractive price.
